OAMS has a free dental clinic available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and long term clients of the OAMS. All services are bulk billed so there is no cost to you.
OAMS Dental service offers a broad range of general dental services to adults and children including:
- Dental check-ups and cleaning
- Simple extractions
- Dental education and prevention including oral hygiene instruction
- Dental x-rays
- Root canal therapy
- Visiting Oral Surgery Services
We also have appointments available to patients with OHFFSS Vouchers for Relief of Pain, General Treatment and Dentures.
The Dental team conducts annual school and child care visits to screen children and educate families and child care services on how to look after our children’s teeth.
To be eligible for the service you must have completed a health check, where a separate appointment with our doctor will be made and if you meet certain criteria, an appointment will be made with the dental service.
OAMS also provides a ‘fee for service’ dental program that includes Bridges, Crowns and mouth-guards.
